This course introduces medical students to basic concepts in microbiology including, bacteriology, virology, mycology and Parasitology. The course has one credit hour laboratory, which covers a variety of microbiological and immunological techniques, with experiments designed to illustrate major concepts of bacteriology, virology, mycology and immunology.
