The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences was inaugurated at the beginning of the academic year 2011/2012 and included the faculties of pharmacy, medicine, optics and nursing in addition to other MA programmes in medical and health sciences.
The faculty is currently home to 4,000 students from different parts of Palestine as large numbers of students enrol in the faculty’s different programmes annually. The faculty is locally and internationally recognized as it has qualified students and professional staff members.
In 2013, the university inaugurated An-Najah National University Hospital, the most advanced provider of medical services in Palestine which aims at providing health practical training for its students enrolled in its programmes reflecting the University's mission and objectives of developing higher education in cooperation with former leading institutions that had been set up before for health practical training in Palestine.
