The course focuses on the role of midwives in stages of labor and to provide care during childbirth, artificial excision, nutrition and fluids during childbirth. Removal of pain After birth, the role of the midwife is to care for the mother and her new baby in terms of breastfeeding and to initiate infant mother bonding. The mother and her baby, the child's bath, attention to the umbilical cord area and helps the mother to cope with the new role.

Practical application

Provide midwifery students with skills knowledge how to deal with natural deliveries and also with critical situations

Provide the opportunity for students to apply knowledge and skills that are learned in midwifery, neonatal care and child health. The focus is on working with healthy neonates as well as with high-risk newborns, spending time in regular nurseries and neonatal intensive care units

Practicum Labor and Delivery II

This period of the practicum in normal labor and delivery provides the student Nurse midwife with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and the skills that are learned in Midwifery. Abnormal Labor and Delivery. Emphasis is placed on the management of normal labor and delivery as well as complicated 

Practicum Neonatal 

To provide the opportunity for the students to apply the knowledge and the skills that are learned in Midwifery, Neonatology and Child Health Care. The focus is on working with  healthy neonates as well as with high risk neonatal situations, through spending a period of time in normal nurseries and Neonatal Intensive Care Units
