On Saturday, March 24th, 2018, the Nursing and Midwifery Department at An-Najah held a training workshop on procedures in the Intensive Care Unit for nursing sophomores.
The workshop was organized by Dr. Aida Al-Qaisi, Head of the Nursing and Midwifery Department and Coordinator of the Nursing Anesthesia and Critical Care Nursing MSc programme and Ms. Mahdia Kony, Head of the Adult Health Nursing Department.
The workshop shed light on esophageal balloon, Intra-abdominal Pressure (IAP), arterial line placement technique, pulmonary artery catheterization (PAC), insertion of an endotracheal tube, tracheal rupture, chest tube insertion, intra-aortic balloon pump and other important topics.
