Abstract

The current study was conducted to evaluate the moisturizing and hydrating effect of grape seed oil in the treatment of dry skin conditions. We recruited 15 healthy volunteers. Of those 13 (86.7%) were females and 2 (13.3%) were males. Two already on the market moisturizer cream formulation brands were used as comparative formulations. These were: Johnson's 24 Hour Moisture Soft Cream and Olay, Moisturizing Lotion. For each region, we asked the volunteers to specify four regions of their body measured as 1 cm3. And spreading the agreed creams from each cream on these regions measured as 1 gram. And constantly doing this for 6 months, as well as checking them every day in the laboratories. The formulation we have tested has the potential and ability to moisturize the skin and thereby increase its elasticity over time.
