This practical course will focus on evaluating and treating variety of pediatric problems and
disorders that are related to physiotherapy.
Students will be able to describe clinical features, course recovery, physical examinations and
the appropriate rehabilitation program of certain disorders. For example; cerebral palsy,
poliomyelitis, brachial plexus injury, muscle diseases, learning disabilities, and mental
retardation. It is important for physiotherapy students to enhance the differential diagnosis,
decision making, and clinical reasoning skills. It’s essential for physiotherapy students to have
the ability to examine and diagnose the patients based on evidence based practice and analysis
skills. Students will be able to be rationale in their examination and intervention. Students will be
taught to use and critical appraise the latest evidence about special treatments provided to the
patients. Students will learn about recognition patients with neurological, burn, cardiopulmonary
and orthopedic dysfunctions. Different learning techniques will be used to achieve the above
mentioned purposes.
