The course will cover the therapeutic modalities that used in physiotherapy rehabilitation; such
as, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, traction, heat and cold therapeutics. Students will learn the
principals of physical modalities and the physiological effects of physiological treatments and
modalities applied to the patients. Students will be exposed to the proper use and administration
of these modalities. They will learn the indication, contraindication, precautions and safety of
using these modalities and physical agents. Students will learn about the principals of manual
therapy and when to use it as a treatment.
