Abstract :

Parasites still causing tremendous health concerns with lower productivity. Could be the parasites of animal origin considered a neglected issue but the impact is much higher to the direct impact on humans that correlate he route of transmission of  the most dangerous accidental dead end host parasite relationship. The most common microorganism that transmit through vegetables are parasites (Particularly larvae, Toxocara and Ascaris from animal sources). A lot of people do not care about salad vegetation of transferring those dangerous parasites as they eat without washing especially developing country. From veterinary point of view, most animals eat from open yards that can be accessed directly from wild animals.

More than 115 samples from soil, vegetables, animals manure were collected from many places in west bank. Samples were saved in preservatives and investigated microscopically using McMaster slide and concentration technique.

Most of the samples were positives for larva and nematode ova that indicate the critical situation of the planting in open area due to contamination of wild animals especially pigs. Interestingly, some animal samples were positive for the accidental parasites that are not belonging to that host. This study indicate the need for raising the awareness in the population of such sources of parasites.
